03 Elder Care (Old Age Homes)

About

Sri Santh Sadananda Yoga Asram Trust supports elderly people who have no one to care for them. Our Old Age Homes provide a safe, peaceful, and clean environment. Elders receive daily meals, medical care, shelter, and emotional support. We also engage them in spiritual and community activities to keep them happy and connected. Every elder is treated with love, respect, and dignity during this important stage of life.

Sri Maha Vidyanandagiri Mathaji’s Dream of Dignity in Old Age

Sri Maha Vidyanandagiri Mathaji believes that every elder deserves to live with dignity, not loneliness. She often says, "Serving elders is like serving wisdom itself." Her vision is to create homes where they are not just looked after, but deeply cared for, listened to, and valued.

Why Our Elder Homes Matter

The purpose of our Old Age Homes is to give a safe and caring space to elders who are alone, forgotten, or in need. Many seniors do not have family or support, and we aim to fill that gap with love and dignity.  Our homes provide clean shelter, healthy meals, medical care, and emotional support. We create an environment where elders feel valued, not just cared for. It is a place where they can live peacefully and feel like they truly belong.

Seva Opportunities

You can take part in this seva in many ways:
  • Spend time with the elders and listen to their stories
  • Sponsor meals, medical needs, or essentials
  • Help with organizing wellness activities or spiritual sessions
  • Donate clothes, blankets, or other items they need

Our Promise to Our Elders

We provide daily meals, regular health checkups, and necessary medicines. Our team ensures clean and comfortable living spaces for all elders. We also support their emotional well-being through prayer, bhajans, and friendly conversations. Festivals are celebrated together to make them feel joyful, included, and cared for.

What Impact We Created

We have helped bring comfort and care to many elderly individuals across our supported villages. Many who were once abandoned now smile again, eat warm meals daily, and live in a space where they feel safe and respected. Volunteers and donors have helped us restore joy to their lives.
